Edition policy

THE NUMBER IS A PROMISE

A limit you can understand.

FIRST PRINCIPLES is in development. The planned edition is 50 authorized garments for ASCENT and 50 for PRACTICE. Each limit covers every size of that design and color combined. It is a ceiling on production, not a claim that 50 pieces have already been made.

How the 50 are allocated.

001–045: 45 pieces available for customers.
046–047: 2 creator or editorial copies.
048–050: 3 service replacements held in reserve.

Creator copies and replacement garments count toward the same limit. Unused reserve numbers do not increase retail availability. An edition may close with fewer than 50 garments produced.

A number of your own.

Each authorized garment will carry its own serial, such as 017/050. Numbers will be assigned as orders are processed. Choosing or reserving a particular number will not be offered at launch. The numbers shown in concept images are examples.

Pieces will be made after an order is placed. Before checkout opens, we will verify the printing process and publish the final delivery estimate. Joining the email list does not reserve a piece.

Returns, replacements and prototypes.

If the same physical garment is returned and sold again, it keeps its number. A newly produced service replacement uses a new number from the reserve; we do not print two garments with the same serial. Development samples will be marked as prototypes outside the edition and will not be sold as numbered customer pieces.

The composition has one edition.

We will not reissue the same composition in another color to work around the limit. Future collections may explore related ideas through new artwork. This page will state the final edition terms before the first order is accepted.
